Conference - Day Two, Part One

We arrived at the school around 8:30 a.m. We waited for all of the delegates to arrive and then we were given a tour of the school. The school's mascot is a snail - which you can see "climbing" up one of the buildings. There is also a stone on the grounds of the school which was placed there during the Japanese occupation in 1942. After the tour, we had a tea break and then the Taiwanese delegation presented their papers.

One of the students wrote his paper supporting Taiwanese admission to the United Nations. This provoked the most discussion - especially since mainland China is completely against it and is pressuring other organizations (like the EU) to convince Taiwan to drop the idea.

After, we enjoyed another great lunch in the conference area.
