Japan's Delegation
Pictured are: Alissa Ishikawa, Aki Miyamoto, Tatsuya Naito and lead teacher, Toru HANDA. The New Waseda University Senior High School was founded in 1949 on the campus of Waseda University. It was based on Pre-war Waseda University Senior High School which was founded in 1920. The school is connected to Waseda University and students take classes at the University as well. They can choose to immediately go on to Waseda University without taking an entrance examination after graduation.
Alissa, one of the Japanese students, has a first name almost exactly like mine. She pronounces her name the same way I do (A-lease-a), so we took a picture of us with our name placards.
